ARFID Support Groups

ARFID is heavily misunderstood, socially isolating, and challenging for both individuals and caregivers to navigate. Being part of a support group really helps with those feelings of isolation, worry about how you and your child is perceived by others around you. Making a connection with others who have ARFID or are caregivers of someone with ARFID really helps know you are not alone.

There are several organizations who now offer support groups for ARFID.

Looking for people who understand? ANAD’s free, virtual ARFID Peer Support Group meets every other Wednesday at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Connect with others, share your experiences, and find encouragement—you don’t have to navigate this alone.

F.E.A.S.T. and ANAD have teamed up to develop support group options for caregivers and siblings of those with eating disorders, including a new group for caregivers supporting a loved one with ARFID. Led by peers who have been there, they will offer space to connect, learn, and feel less alone.
